History

Managing Director Chris Petherick started his Heritage venture under the original name Heritage Groundcare undertaking all ground works and paving finishes. After building up a reputation for a good work ethic and providing his clients with complete job satisfaction always giving that little bit extra, it was a natural progression to start venturing into the reactive maintenance arena as many of his clients had needs that weren’t being met. As the company grew Heritage slowly expanded it’s workforce pushing it into different directions, growing into the reactive maintenance market. Due to its expansion and diversification he took the decision to change the name to Heritage Building Services as a reflection of the expanding scope of works he was now undertaking.

As Heritage Building Service’s stock and reputation grew, it started working with more clients of note mainly Ashworth Hospital. Today this relationship is still ongoing and growing. Through these ties we have now have established working partnerships with Mitie (now one of their preferred suppliers) and Mersey Care NHS Trust carrying out works on all 42 Mersey Care sites. Over the years we have developed an enviable understanding for patient requirements working with issues such as anti-ligature and infection control.
In 2006 due Heritage’s impressive expansion, Chris took the decision to become a Limited company, thus another name change and what we are known by today: Heritage Building Solutions Limited. The fore mentioned encouraging Chris to keep the company growing and seeking new challenges and clients.

In 2008 Heritage moved into the retail sector starting a partnership with St John’s Centre in Liverpool’s bustling city centre. Through this we also carryout works at their neighbour Clayton Square both part of the Land Securities Group. Due to the excellent working relationship we have with St John’s we are currently looking into completing more sizable projects in and around the centre, working as a main contractor direct for Land Securities.
